ABIAKUM MACBETH ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS FOR A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFE: Bible Ref. Eph 6: 10- 18


LESSON INTRODUCTION: Essential ingredients for a victorious Christian life are those things that the believer must have or possess if he must live a life of victory. 1Peter 5:8-9 warns us about the devil who is busy going about like a wounded lion looking for whom to destroy. 

To have victory over the enemy is not to attack him but rather to resist him. To resist the devil means to give one’s self to his wiles, clever schemes, antics, tricks, manipulations.

OUTLINE 1: INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR A VICTORIOUS LIFE:
·         Truth: You shall know the truth…..set you free. This is because the devil is the father of all lies and deception is a cheap track for the believer.
·         Righteousness: Righteousness exalt a nation but sin is a reproach – Prov.13:34
·         Peace: My peace I leave with you… not as the world giveth John 14:27
·         [Above all] Shield of faith. Heb 11:6 For without faith, ….
·         Helmet of salvation: Helmet protects the head and the same time its ceremonial
·         The word of God which is your sword: Prov. 18:21
·         Praying in the Spirit
·         Perseverance: Endure to the end, finishing strong
CONCLUSION: Victory only comes after a fight. No fight no victory.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: A.      To show how Adam missed it in the Garden of Eden as a result of sin (disobedience) and how that singular act of rebellion denied him accessed to the Tree of Life. B.       To show how the foundation of Christianity was laid through Faith in Jesus Christ and how anyone who wants to eat of the Tree of Life must come to God by faith. Symbolism is simply the act of using objects or symbols to represent an idea. Symbols are mostly used when trying to explain an abstraction.
