ABIAKUM MACBETH POWER TO DECREE (Job 22:27-28, Dan 6:12, Dan 3:29)
Thou shall make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shall pay thy vows.
Thou shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and thy light shall shine upon thy ways.
Definition of Decree: Decree is an official order that has the force of law. A decree is
an order, command, a proclamation or a commandment. You cannot make a decree if
you are not given the audacity to do so, if you do without having the power to
do so, the decree cannot have any relevance and thus it cannot be obeyed.
The Power to degree was first evident in Gen 1:3 when God said. Let there be light and there was light. God
later on handed this power to man so that man can command whatsoever he wants
to his favour.
Some of the things that
man has the power to decree include: good health,
prosperity, healing, riches, life, miracles, etc. Whatsoever we desire, we can
degree them or call them into existence.
How to decree a thing: Through prayer and having a conviction that
those things that have been said will come to pass.
Hindrances to our
decrees: Even when we
sometimes try to decree, our decrees have no power.
Closed Heaven: 2 Chron.7:13 …if I shut the heavens that they may be no rain
Closed Mouth: Numbers 14: 28 … as you have spoken to my ears I will do it
Closed Heart: A heart of unbelief … and he did not many things because of their
unbelief
How to decree:
We must open your mouth to
speak out what we want. Luke 21:15 for I
will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able
to gainsay nor resist
Open your heart: We must decree with an open heart, i.e. an heart of conviction,
belief, faith. Why? It was the same type of heart that God had when he created
the world by decrees. All these must be made
Through Prayers: Thou shall make thy prayer unto him, and he shall
hear thee
Is. 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who have created these
things, that bringth out their host by number. He calleth them all by names by
the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power, not one faileth. Roms. 4:17b, … and called those things which be not as
though they were.
